We’ve said it before but we’ll say it again - amazing things can be achieved when a community pulls together.
A little over three months ago Drogheda’s newest athletics club, Ace Athletics, embarked on a fundraising campaign to help them secure permanent training grounds for their athletes.
To date they have raised very close to €20,000 - a target they never imagined possible but the people of Drogheda and surrounding areas got behind the club and suddenly the dream of a home for Ace seems much more likely.
They have raised of €18,500 so far and, to help them reach their goal they are once again asking for the public’s help. If you would like to donate to this fantastic cause please click on the link below and give what you can to help in this fantastic initiative.

The club which turns three years old this year has many accomplishments to date from their young athletes with the most recent coming up this weekend when Eimear Cooney competes in the Celtic International Cross Country event at the Northern Ireland International Cross Country competitions in Belfast on Saturday.
Along with these fantastic accomplishments, a passionate and hardworking team of coaches and committee Ace Athletics have also been busy in their fundraising efforts to purchase land within the Drogheda area so they can continue to support and encourage young talent such as this for decades to come.
Although they love having such extraordinary talent in the club, Ace Athletics is mostly passionate about young people in sport and having fun. They welcome new members all the time who want to get involved in exercise and perhaps make a few friends along the way!
