Ace AC's Naiya Semple (237) was a regular visitor to the podium after winning three bronze medals in the 800m, the sprint and the long jump at the pre-Louth Championships.
The pre-Louth Championships held in Bush Dundalk on Sunday last is a precursor for the annual Louth Athletics championships, allowing athletics and coaches to assess their form before the major championships in a few weeks time.
Ace AC had some fine performances from young athletes with u15 athlete Nayia Semple stealing the show with three bronze medals in the 800m, the sprint and the longjump. U12 athlete Caoimhe Carolan wasn't far behind Nayia as star performer and continued her fine form with 2 medals, a bronze in the sprint and a brilliant silver in the 600m.
Leinster Champions Chloe Cooney & Sholah Lawernce both secured comfortable golds in the u16 and u17 800m with Ciara O'Connor strong in second. Ciara had earlier won the 100m with Kate Culhanne in 3rd securing bronze.
Isabella Garcia, ever present at local races, had a brilliant run to win the u19 800m. In the U19 sprint the impressive, Daniella Adebola won Gold in style while Chloe Brennan secured bronze in the u14 sprint.

Daniel Hanley finished second in the boys u16 800m with Fergus Nolan continuing his improved form finishing second in the u17 800m.
Ollie Marron, Niamh Lynch, Ruairi Cooney and Tadgh Forde Dunne just missed out on medals, all finishing in 4th and 5th places in the middle distance races and all 3 wiill be confident of securing a ceveted Louth medal with minor adjustments in the few weeks training ahead.
There was many other good performances on the day with some of the best coming from Niamh Faulkner, Alfie Marron, Farrah Smith, Niamh Lynch, and Joe McCann.
