Boyne AC athletes Ola Raji, Rob Fitzgerald, Durotimi Timi and Mark Dowling at the Bohermeen Half Marathon.
It has been a busy couple of weeks for Boyne AC athletes, as the Indoor season draws to a close for the juveniles and the road racing calendar in full swing for the senior members of the club.
Talented thrower, Hannah Newman ended her Leinster Indoor campaign on a high recently, as she finished in 4th place in the u18 girls Shot Put, throwing a new pb distance of 9.56m, with a 3kg shot.
Although just missing out on a podium place by just 60cm, Hannah still qualifies for the upcoming All-Irelands, and if she continues this fine run of form, anything is possible!
Also setting new PBs, some of Boyne ACs seniors took to the roads in Bohermeen recently, with most setting new personal best times over the half marathon distance.

Durotimi Timi and Mark Dowling worked well together as they ran a well-controlled and perfectly executed race to both cross the line in a super quick 1.34.15, a new PB for Dowling, proving his consistent training is certainly paying off.
Just a minute behind, Rob Fitzgerald was next to cross the line, delighted with his new personal best time over this tough distance, clocking 1.35.23 as he continues to improve with every race.
Clubmate Ola Raji was delighted to break the two-hour mark, as she finished in 1.53.43, a super time as she builds nicely towards the Belfast marathon in April.
Also tackling the 13.1mile distance recently, this time a little further northwards, Deirdre Cadden ran a super time of 2.15 in the Carlingford Half Marathon, and was all smiles as she crossed the line in this challenging hilly race, while Catherine Tiernan Bell is continuing to get back to full fitness, as she ran a great time of 28.10 in the Lusk 4 Mile race recently.
Membership for Boyne AC juveniles and seniors is now open and full details can be found on the Boyne Facebook page.
