Investment will lead to the creation of 25 permanent jobs

Stamullen based Hanley Energy, a global leader of critical power systems in the Data Center industry, today, announced the acquisition of Flexitech, a dominant Irish Precision Engineering Manufacturing Company, serving client applications in more than 100 countries worldwide.

Flexitech have been active for 20 years and this acquisition will provide the scale and financial strength necessary to compete even more effectively in the global metal manufacturing marketplace to the benefit of consumers. The investment will also lead to the creation of 25 permanent positions at the company’s Irish base over the next two-years.

Hanley Energy has active data centre projects in every continent and has facilitated international expansion by making the transition from a solution integrator to a critical power systems pioneer, developing the most advanced backup power technologies to enable data centre web giants to deliver digital content globally to end users.

“I am very pleased to report that this recent acquisition consolidates Hanley Energy’s Global market share, instituting world class manufacturing benefits for all our stakeholders” Hanley Energy CEO Clive Gilmore said.

The business has a track record of steady growth and we will continue to foster and invest in their future growth.”

“Between Flexitech’s primacy in fabrication and Hanley Energy’s design-expertise, manufacturing strength and technological know-how, we have a winning combination for delivering superior quality and profitability direct to our customers.”

Anthony and Gina McGeown, Directors of Flexitech commented: “Our success to date is down to the hard work and dedication of our staff who have been instrumental in helping us drive forward and enabled us to move onto the next stage of our development, as a subsidiary within the Hanley Energy group.

"We fully understand how competitive the industry is and we strive to stay ahead of the game – and this deal will enable that.

"The deal will also bring a significant injection to the local economy here in the North East and provide many direct benefits to the wider community along the M1 Corridor.”

Hanley Energy would like to extend a very warm welcome to the entire Flexitech team on joining the wider company group.
