Last week’s TEDx Drogheda series of talks, was the second such event in Drogheda and developed further on the success of last year with eight speakers from diverse walks of life expanding on the theme of “Private Lives/Identity” at the Droichead Arts Centre.

The eight carefully-selected speakers discussed various personality and individuality concepts that could be implemented in everyday life, encouraging audience members to take these ideas home and add value to their own.

The audience greeted the speakers with great enthusiasm and were richly rewarded with some thought provoking and at times amusing ideas from the stage.

The speakers and their topics were:

  • Colin Guilfoyle – Till Game Over Do Us Part
  • Brendan Murray – Retirement: From Foreboding to Fulfilment
  • Keith McEvoy – Why we should all be asking our entrepreneurs these 3 simple questions
  • Janie Lazar – Conversation Matters
  • Alan Costello – Embrace Your Online Community
  • Vinny McCoy – You Are Not Who They Think You Are
  • Sarah Archer – What does it mean to be authentic?
  • Caradh O’Donovan – The Fight of My Life

The TEDx Drogheda organising team are from a wide range of backgrounds, interests and disciplines including Orlaith Carmody of Media Training, Georgina McKenna from Count Her In, Denise Fay of Achieve Marketing and Sean O’Cearrullain from SkyHigh Productions.
