Exhibitors from Louth including Seapoint Golf Club and Ballymascanlon Hotel were to the fore at Fáilte Ireland’s annual golf promotion night which took place recently in the Europa Hotel, Belfast where the finest golf courses in Ireland showcased the quality and value of Irish golf to consumers in Northern Ireland.
The event, which has become a key date in Northern Ireland's golfing calendar, was attended by 370 keen golfers, including members of local golf societies and golf clubs, who, as well as finding out what Louth’s golf scene has to offer, enjoyed detailed briefings, networking opportunities, a golf simulator and some fantastic spot prizes.
Ireland boasts over 400 golf courses and hosts over 190,000 golf tourists each year. Worth an estimated €200m to the economy, the sport plays a significant role in the Irish tourism industry.
