Elaine’s plan to turn twinkle and sparkle into gold at hairdresser awards

Elaine Finnegan of the Secret Hair Salon in Dunleer has her sights set on on gold in the “Fantastic Hairdresser of the Year” Awards" 2017.

Among the “who’s who” of the hair industry who will gather in the Double Tree Hilton Hotel in Dublin this Sunday, 5th November for the prestigious “Fantastic Hairdresser of the Year” Awards" 2017 will be Elaine Finnegan of the Secret Hair Salon in Dunleer.

Elaine was runner up in 2014 and this time around she is hoping to bring home the gold with some added twinkle and sparkle for good measure.

The Alfaparf Milano Fantastic Hairdressing Awards give salons an opportunity to showcase both their creative strengths and commercial acumen, through six artistic, three business and the ALFAPARF Milano INIXIA photographic awards.

The awards recognise the winning salons and individuals as the best in the hairdressing industry on the island of Ireland, and provides the platform to showcase best practice to the industry at large.

In addition to their prizes, winners will be featured throughout ALFAPARF Milano’s communication channels for 12-months to maximise their exposure following success at this prestigious event.

The Secret Hair Salon was established in 2008 and now employs six staff who have set about transforming how Louth women look and feel. The Secret's ethos is “to empower women to be the best version of themselves.”

Elaine knows that a little support and empathetic ear is enough to put the bounce back not only in clients’ hair but also their step thus “…helping women of Louth feel six feet tall walking out the door!”

“Everybody likes a bit of fantasy” Elaine says, adding that this year’s inspiration came from her two daughters, her little angels Ella-Mae and Zara ages 4 and 1.

“So, imagine:  unicorn, twinkle, sparkle, this represents hope, happiness and big dreams for the future. The three things everyone needs in their life.”

We wish Elaine and the team the very best of luck for Sunday.
