There was a good turnout at a reception in the Highlanes Gallery last night to launch the 13th Annual Drogheda Business Excellence Awards organised by Drogheda & District Chamber of Commerce.

The Awards, which are divided into 15 categories, are based on independently judged standards and criteria that recognise best practices, great customer service and the overall enhancement of Drogheda as a great location to live, visit, work and play in.

Both Chamber Members and Non-Members are invited to enter and the good news is that they are free to enter! They are open to businesses operating in Drogheda and surrounding areas. Chamber President, Paddy Callaghan, said that the awards are a great opportunity for local companies to showcase their business and with a number of new categories added this year there is something for everyone.

“It’s a special moment to get shortlisted for an award” he said, “it’s extra special to win one. I am encouraging all businesses in the area to really consider putting themselves forward this year for what is a fantastic showcasing opportunity”.

At the launch event, Drogheda Chamber Vice President Ken Rooney, thanked all of the sponsors for supporting this year’s awards.
