Since a major refit, which was completed in May, the CityNorth Hotel in Gormanston has gone from strength to strength with a marked increase in bookings both for conferences, social events and weddings.

Yesterday, in what is a major coup for the hotel’s management team, it was announced that the national Young Farmers Conference, which is organised each year by Macra na Feirme, is to be held at the CityNorth with the whole hotel and all of the B&Bs in the area booked out over the October bank holiday weekend.

“We are delighted to be hosting this event here in the CityNorth Hotel, especially as it is being held in Co. Meath for the very first time” Cyril Laffan, the City North’s energetic General Manager, told Drogheda Life. “Myself and all the team are looking forward to looking after this event from start to finish and making sure all needs are met to the highest standard.

“We are surrounded by farmland here in Gormanston and we do our best to work closely with local suppliers so we have an excited interest in this conference. We are all looking forward to it and we have no doubt it will be a success for everyone involved.”
