The six-day annual international harp festival - coming to An Grianan and Bealieu from 25 - 29 June. Not to be missed.
Fifty years ago it was the Summer of Love and the whole world got stoned. But this year in Louth It’s going to be a summer of music and art and general creativity - without the mind altering substances.
That’s if the County Louth Creative Ireland Programme has anything to do with it.
They have organised a programme of events showcasing the creativity and culture of the county. Called Let’s Go Outside – June in Louth, the idea is to give the public an opportunity to connect with all things cultural in the county.
The programmes includes:
This programme offers something for everyone, artisan craft stalls and foods, children’s art workshops and live music with the Drogheda Concert Band at the Mid-Summer Artisan Market;
Creative Spark’s very own Sparks Fly workshop, providing an unrivalled opportunity for makers who work with clay to fire in a glass kiln using Raku firing processes, topping off their day with a barbeque.
The six-day annual international harp festival - An Chúirt Chruitireachta, featuring an exciting line up of the most celebrated Irish harp players and traditional musicians in Ireland and further afield, delivering a series of ‘not to be missed’ afternoon and evening concerts in settings from the beautiful Beaulieu House to the ICA Conference Centre at An Grianán, Termonfeckin.
