Drogheda Boomerang Club recently held a Ready Steady Cook competition in the Westcourt Hotel with four local Chefs competing for the honours with Andrew Reddan from Co. Louth Golf Club emerging as the eventual winner.
Andrew currently holds 'Best young chef Leinster 2017' award and can now boast 'Boomerang 2017 Ready Steady Cook Winner' which we are certain he will fight hard to retain next year.
The MC's on the night were Chef Adrian Martin (celebrity chef regularly on RTE) and Mona Daly. The entertainment throughout the event was Eugene Ginty, aka Chef Gino, who serenaded the audience and created an amazing atmosphere with his tenor tones.
After each round the audience chose the winning dish and some audience members were chosen to sample these culinary delights at our Tasting Table.
All photography was courtesy of Shane Smith, YesChef Ireland magazine who captured the evening, the venue and delicious dishes effortlessly.
All proceeds on the night go towards the services provided by Boomerang for the young people of Drogheda, ranging from educational and recreational activities in a safe and secure environment.
