You’ve heard of hard-nosed business people but at yesterday’s EXPO 2017 organised by Drogheda Chamber there were also a few blue nosed versions of the species because yesterday was also Autism Ireland’s Blue Nose Day which helps to raise awareness of autism and funds for the charity.
With over 40 exhibitors and a variety of informative seminars running throughout the day, yesterday’s Business and Technology Expo 2017 in the Westcourt Hotel had something for everyone in business in Drogheda.
This event organised by Drogheda & District Chamber provided an opportunity for companies throughout the area to gain exposure and showcase themselves to a wider audience.
In his welcoming address, Chamber President Eddie Phelan urged businesses to use the opportunity to showcase what they have to offer and also to promote the fantastic range of local business within the area.
Mayor Oliver Tully who officially opened the Business and Technology Expo welcomed all the exhibitors and attendees and was 'delighted' to be launching another showcase highlighting so many businesses in the area.
Those who attended Expo also had the opportunity to pop into several informative and engaging seminars throughout the day by Sean Dervan-SIRO, Colm Hanratty- Sixtwo Digital, Vincent Jackson from An Garda Siochana, Colin Guilfoyle of Nebula Interactive, Shona McManus-Osborne Recruitment, Andie O’Grady-health Within Chiropractic and Wellness and joined by Luke Judge and Evelyn Garland, Fitness and Foodie Enthusiasts and owners of Fit Food.
The Business and Technology Expo was a huge success and provided an opportunity to all involved to generate new business, create new contacts and in turn potential for revenue generation. The organisers received tremendous feedback from exhibitors and attendees alike for the event which is now in its fifth year and has grown substantially.
Drogheda and District Chamber would like to sincerely thank the sponsors for kindly supporting this year’s event: Drogheda Town Centre & The Arc Cinema, SIRO, Louth County Council, Local Enterprise Louth.
